Wood Bear Craft

As a designer of made-to-measure furniture, I offer introductory workshops in wood marquetry.

In the Tout1Art shop on rue Jean Jaurès in Vals-les-Bains, join me in this collective of craftsmen and designers to discover the art of marquetry. We'll start with a bit of the history of this craft and an introduction to the different tools, then you'll soon be able to trace the pieces to be assembled. You'll then be able to discover all the woods and colours available and create your own 'wood design'. Together, we'll make your own personalised coasters for a unique look! The finishing stages - sanding, pressing and varnishing - will also provide an opportunity to talk about the different types of wood. You'll go home with your own set of coasters, of course, and a whole new set of skills!
