Description
Arts and crafts. Pair of potters specialising in crystallisation on clay and porcelain. Functional items, jewellery, sculptures.
This particular enamelling process was already used long ago in Ancient China.
After a revival of this craft with Art Nouveau from 1890 to 1914, economic restrictions engendered by the First World War thwarted its expansion.
The process remained at an all-time low until the 1960s in the United States.
Today, a handful of artists endeavours to revive this craft and one of them is right here, in Ardèche. His workshop is located in Asperjoc, a small hamlet in the beautiful Besorgues Valley.
