This walk requires snowshoes. It allows you to visit the pretty, authentic village of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, then climb higher and reach the Loy restaurant.
From Saint-Martin Church, walk past the town hall, then take the pavement on the left and continue along the side of the road until you reach the junction with the main road. Cross the D117 and follow the signs for Villarabout. Take the third road on the right, continue for 100 m until you reach the last house on your left, then follow the signs for the Mottet trail, which is on your left. This will take you to the hamlet of La Loy (snowshoes are required for this section). Follow the signs for the La Loy trail to descend to Notre-Dame-de-la-Vie. The return to Saint-Martin is via the path below the sanctuary.
