Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise - 4 to 7 day hike
Description
The Tour of the Vanoise glaciers is one of the finest and most iconic hiking trails in the Alps. The itinerary, at the heart of the Vanoise National Park, can be created "à la carte" over a period of 4 to 7 days, according to the route chosen.
DAY 1: Pralognan-la-Vanoise (1400 m) - Col de la Vanoise refuge (2517m). View of Grande Casse and Aiguille de la Vanoise. DAY 2: Col de la Vanoise refuge (2517 m) - Arpont refuge (2309 m) Vallon de la Rocheuse. DAY 3: Refuge de l'Arpont (2309 m) - 5 refuges in the Plan d'Amont sector Crossing on a very wild balcony trail. DAY 4: Plan d'Amont (2206 m) - Refuge de l'Orgère (1985 m) or Refuge de l'Aiguille Doran (1860 m). The plateau du mauvais berger is an ibex area - crossing a cembra forest. DAY 5: Refuge de l'Orgère or Aiguille Doran (1900 m) - Refuge de Péclet-Polset (2471 m). Enjoy a pleasant stopover at the Lac de la Partie. DAY 6: Refuge de Péclet-Polset (2474 m) - Refuge de la Valette. The Cirque de la Valette lies at the foot of the Vanoise glaciers. Magnificent panorama with 360° views of the surrounding peaks, particularly the Grande Casse. DAY 7: Refuge de la Valette (2590 m) - Pralognan la Vanoise.
