Summer Trail 28 - Planlebon

The red Planlebon trail is a must-do hike in the wild Encombres Valley, offering a beautiful immersion in the mountain atmosphere.

From the Frachettes parking area, this route takes you through several emblematic hamlets: Planlebon, Les Priots, and Gittamelon.
These former alpine hamlets, some partly in ruins, are a testament to the intense agro-pastoral life that once animated the valley.
The trail begins with a fairly steep series of switchbacks before crossing a footbridge over the Planlebon gorges.
