Summer Trail 17b - The Grand Lac by Cherferie

This panoramic hike, starting from the top of the Saint-Martin Express chairlift, offers an immersion in alpine pastures and breathtaking views over the Belleville and Méribel valleys.

The trail crosses the alpine pastures of the Montagne de Cherferie. Along the way, hikers can admire the local wildlife, including marmots, as well as the alpine flora. The goal of the hike is the Grand Lac, a peaceful spot ideal for relaxing. Its name, 'Grand Lac', can be misleading, as the water level varies throughout the season. You can return via trail 17B or take the Saint-Martin Express chairlift back down (descent is free).
