Description

A lovely loop snowshoe hike to explore the Bernex area, featuring beautiful views!
This route takes you up through Le Bécret and down through Les Esserts.

The ascent follows along the left side of the ski lift stations.
Then cross the finish line and take the path that runs between two rows of trees.
This will take you to the hamlet of Bécret, which you’ll cross on a trail that has leveled out.
Shortly after passing the Bécret ski lift, take the trail that climbs into the forest (be sure to follow the snowshoe directional signs).
You’ll reach the ski trail and then the path leading to the restaurant at the top of the chairlift.
From the top of the Pré Richard chairlift, head down along the right side of the trail.
Once you reach the flat section, continue to the right, following the fence surrounding a small lake.
At the end of the flat stretch, cross the ski run and the Pellys ski lift to take a trail that climbs to the left and leads to a clearing.
Descend via the trail that branches off to the right, which will take you to the flat area where the Mont Baron and Pellys ski lifts depart.
Descend a little further, heading toward the right side of the chalet.
The trail enters the forest, winds through a few switchbacks, and opens onto a meadow.
Continue downhill to the Esserts chalets.
Take the trail that leads deeper into the forest and descends alongside the stream.
Do not take the paths branching off to the right that lead to the Lanche trail.
You’ll reach the parking lot; simply cross it to reach the base of the chairlift.
For the descent, you can also turn back and take the same route you took on the way up.
