Description

At the crossroads of the slopes in Saint-Gervais, Mont Joly and Saint Nicolas de Véroce, the Porcherey mountain pasture ensures a breathtaking panoramic view. Once a unique alpine pasture, these are now two separate locations designed to welcome hikers.
THE ORIGINS OF THE PORCHEREY NAME Porcherey can mean both pig and wild boar and in summer pastures, the domestic animals made just as much damage as the wild ones. When the animals would be out summer pasturing, their snout was fitted with a metal ring to keep them from digging and damaging the prairie.
