Boucle des Bachals - B27
Description
A fairly easy route, close to the resort with magnificent views of the Lauzière range.
In the heart of the Valmorel resort (1,340m), start your itinerary with a short climb across the accrobranche course. The first part of the route is on a constantly ascending path, alternating between undergrowth and clearings, passing through the grazing areas of the Tarines cows, emblematic of the area. Pass in front of the Bachals refuge (1,620m) and take advantage of the tables for a break in the sunshine, below the Crève-Tête summit and facing the Crête de Doucy and the peaks of the Lauzière Massif.
Continue up the last few metres to the Chemin des Cerisettes at an altitude of 1,700m. At this point you enter the Valmorel forest and begin the descent back down. Be careful, as this section is shared with mountain bikes! Join a wide path through large meadows that offers views of the Pointe du Cheval Noir and the entire Valmorel ski area. Pass the beautiful chalets of Plan Parc (1,423m) and Empyrée (1,411m) before heading straight on towards Valmorel to your starting point.
