Description

You will come across alpine chalets. These shelters (called "arbés" in the local dialect), also known as montagnettes, were inhabited during the summer by families who lived in the alpine pastures. This centuries-old way of life continued until the arrival of tourism in 1960.

Starting from the Bulle des Bruyères water park:
1 - Take the public elevator to the right of the Bruyères gondola lift, in the Valmont residence (9th floor).
2 - When you arrive, cross the footbridge and climb the stairs. You will reach a small square.
3 - Turn left and climb the winding path that will take you to a road.
4 - Turn right onto this road, which runs along the top of the valley. After a 10-minute walk, you will reach the access road to the Val Thorens resort.
5 - Keep to your right and walk down to the hairpin bend.
6 - Cross over and take the road that climbs uphill. After two hairpin bends, you will come to a long straight uphill stretch. You will arrive at the restaurant Chez Pépé Nicolas.
