Alissa Descotes Toyosaki: A Franco-Japanese reporter, photographer and author, she has devoted her work to the Tuaregs of the Sahara for over twenty years.
She is the first foreign woman to have travelled the traditional salt route – a journey lasting several months on the back of a dromedary through the heart of the Sahara, alongside the Tuareg people. This extraordinary experience has inspired a documentary and a book, both of which can be rediscovered on 16 and 17 October.
