Marie-Lou, the director of a care home for the elderly, attempts to introduce an innovative care philosophy based on listening to and respecting the dignity of the residents, despite the reluctance of some of her staff. Her encounter with Mari, a Japanese theatre director battling cancer, will turn her life on its head. As they form a deep friendship, the two women join forces in a battle to “make the impossible possible”.
