Exhibition “The Elements” by Anie Dupuis

Exhibition “The Elements” by Anie Dupuis image1

Description

To mark “Semaine Bleue”—a week dedicated to highlighting the contributions of retirees to society—the library is exhibiting paintings by amateur artist Anie Dupuis Poliénor.

She has been painting as a self-taught artist for over thirty years and is influenced by the colors of Pierre Bonnard, the radicalism of Gustave Courbet, the spirituality of Kandinsky, and the explosion of colors in Jean-Pierre Borderie’s work.
Anie Dupuis is of French-Caribbean descent, and her life journey has taken her to exhibit her work in the Vendée, Bourges, Sète, and Paris. A few years ago, she began to reflect on her origins, and this realization led her to take a new direction in her painting and choose different subjects, highlighting the relationships and interconnections between humans and their environment.
This exhibition thus features paintings depicting the natural elements essential to life.
Come discover them at the library from October 1 to 31, 2026.
