Dedication by Benjamin Védrines

The Mont-Blanc bookshop welcomes Benjamin Védrines for a book signing of his two books, Solitude and K2.

Benjamin Védrines, born in June 1992 in Die (Drôme), is a professional mountaineer, author of rapid and innovative performances in the Alps and the Himalayas. Highly versatile, he has broken numerous records (Chamonix-Zermatt and Mont Blanc on skis, an 8,000-metre peak in less than eight hours round trip) and completed a series of highly difficult routes in winter. He has just added a new feat to his list of achievements: the ascent of Jannu East with Nicolas Jan, a first in the Himalayas! The two signed books will be: ‘Solitude’: In the middle of winter, Benjamin Védrines embarks on one of the most difficult climbs in the Alps. Alone with himself facing the mountain, he delivers an introspection of unlimited sincerity. ‘K2’: The story in pictures of an extraordinary summer on K2, complemented by photos taken by Thibaut Marot at base camp.
