Cordes en ballade Festival

The Debussy Quartet have been behind 'Les Cordes en ballade' Chamber Music Festival for 20 years to bring together world-famous musicians and artists from all walks of life.

During the summer:

The “Les Cordes en ballade” festival, a traveling music festival devoted to strings, now recognized as one of the region's major events of national renown, crosses the towns and villages of southern Ardèche every summer, bringing together artists from all horizons and local or visiting audiences in heritage sites of great character;
The Quatuor Debussy's annual “Académie d'été” introduces youngsters to chamber music, and supports emerging string quartets on the road to professionalism, giving them the opportunity to benefit from exceptional tutoring during training courses, and to perform on stage;
“La Balade des cordes” is a musical itinerary of social and solidarity actions, which, since 2020, has enabled the people furthest from culture (Ehpad, hospitals, prisons...) to benefit from concerts, times of encounter, exchange and mediation with the ‘New Talent’ quartets from the Summer Academy.
