Marthe, a 7-year-old girl, is swept thousands of miles away from her home. Her mother is locked up there, silent, unable to sing the lullaby that reassures her daughter. Marthe wishes she could blow away her mother's worries and hold her in her arms.

Carried by the wind, she sets off and wanders through imaginary landscapes. Marthe must show courage and chart her own course through the immensity of the world.

Punctuated by surprising encounters, her journey teaches her about loneliness and mutual aid, and gives her the keys to understanding her childhood fears.

Marthe dares to take a path that will help her grow. Will this path lead her home with ease?
