15th August Fireworks

This date is the highlight of the summer season in Evian. It is also the celebration of the Liberation of Evian in 1944, and fireworks are let off from a barge on the lake in front of the Casino.

Program of the day:
• Ceremony: Deposit of wreaths in memory of the shot dead, rue de la Source des Cordeliers, town hall, place Docteur Escoubès, place Lucien Bonnaz, Splendid and Camille-Fournier Stadium, 8:15 am and Pilgrimage to the ossuary, deposit of wreaths, cemetery, 9:20 am. Mass in memory of the dead of the Resistance, Church, 10am. Parade with the participation of local bands, downtown, 11am. Ceremony, laying of wreaths Stele of the deportees and Memorial to the dead, 11:15.
• Torchlight Retreat (open to all) parade in music organized by the City, with the participation of local bands Departure in front of the palace of festivities, 8:30 PM. Free access.
• Fireworks on the lake. Facing the Casino at 22:10.
