Village of St-Andéol-de-Vals

Village of St-Andéol-de-Vals image1

Description

Situated at the foot of the Ardèche mountains, the village boasts a 17th-century neo-Romanesque church with listed frescoes. At the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, this is a great place for walking, with links to Vals-les-Bains, Genestelle and St Joseph des Bancs.
St Andéol de Vals offers a number of signposted walking trails, enabling you to discover the beauty of the countryside and the built heritage, in particular the old Figères bridge and its three arches spanning the Sandron, an ideal spot for a picnic and a swim.
The basalt flow known as the "Fauteuil du Diable" (Devil's Chair) in the hamlet of Nogier bears witness to the area's tumultuous volcanic past.
