Often referred to as "Mont Vinobre" by the locals, the Haut Serre de Vinobre, at an altitude of 365 m, offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Aubenas region, the Ardèche valley, all the surrounding mountain ranges and, of course, the village of St Sernin.
Often referred to as ‘Mont Vinobre’ by the locals, the Haut Serre de Vinobre, at an altitude of 365 m, offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Aubenas region, the Ardèche valley, all the surrounding mountain ranges and, of course, the village of St Sernin. A local place of pilgrimage, this spot overlooking 20 bell towers has been topped by a large white cross for nearly 60 years. It is to this cross that Christians from the Aubenas area climb the Way of the Cross on the north side every Palm Sunday.
