"Passion" Fishing Trail from the Bissorte Stream to Orelle

An unhindered torrent, a high density of fish, clear banks, this course is ideal for beginners and especially for having fun in a splendid mountain setting!

The banks are very clear, so be as discreet as possible in your approaches because the trout (brown and rainbow) and brook trout will be very wary. The fishing season on this stream really begins with the opening of the mountain lakes to make the most of the beautiful complex it forms with the lakes of Bissorte and Bataillières. However, until the beginning of July, the waters can still be swollen by the melting snow. It is therefore necessary to favor fishing with worms or moths at the beginning of the season. During the summer, when the sun rises, grasshoppers abound around the stream and the fish are on the lookout. Use the latter on the surface or lightly weighted for a very natural drift. For fly fishing, favor well-weighted nymphs or high-floating flies: sedge, palmer. Please note: your playground is located in the high mountains, a 1.5-hour hike away. So, prepare your hike well, whether you're heading out for the day or staying overnight in a mountain hut or bivouac. Check the mountain weather forecast beforehand (+338 99 71 02 73) and don't forget to bring a minimum of equipment (topographic map, hiking boots, water bottles, sunglasses and sunscreen, hat, warm clothes, raincoat, and emergency blanket).
