Le Jardin Vagabond
Description
This restless garden, rich in wild, self-seeding plants, is open to everyone.
Unlike other gardens in the French style, this garden seeks to minimise human intervention, and places no boundaries on natural processes; the plants that grow here are left to develop as they please. The gardeners are required to use good observational skills and their knowledge of the species and their behaviour in order to enhance the plants' natural capacities; their role includes planting local species, watering and tending (without fertilisers, pesticides or chemical weeding). Partial mowing creates paths through the long grass, which is popular with walkers.
