Description

After seven years of renovation, Le Château became a Centre for Contemporary Art and Heritage in 2024. This prestigious site in the south of France invites you to discover its restored spaces through exhibitions, tours, workshops and events.

The Château d'Aubenas has undergone a vast restoration project and will open its doors to the public in the summer of 2024. After seven years of work, visitors will discover a magnificently restored heritage site. This jewel of medieval architecture will engage in a dialogue with contemporary art, offering a rich programme of exhibitions, tours and events, with the aim of becoming a key cultural and tourist attraction in the Ardèche.

Six or seven solo and group exhibitions a year will showcase the work of artists of all generations. At the same time, a wealth of cultural activities will punctuate the life of the Château, including residencies, conferences, concerts and performances. The team at the Château, the curators and the guest cultural players will all be helping to offer unique points of view and new ways of interpreting the world.
