La croix du pénitent

The village of Montbrun les Bains has decided to give a second life to this local heritage, which echoes the crosses of the commune of Barret de Lioure.

This cross is not very old, dating from the 19th or early 20th century. At that time, the Catholic Church launched missions across the de-Christianized French countryside. The missions ended with the erection of a cross.
